Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Refilio mobile application ("Refilio", "the app", "we", "our"). By downloading or using Refilio, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The Service

Refilio helps Filipino drivers estimate fuel and toll costs, plan routes, log trips, track fuel prices, and chat with an in-app AI assistant ("Fidel"). Some features are free; others require an account or a Refilio Plus subscription.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old to create an account. You may delete your account at any time from within the app.

3. Refilio Plus Subscription

Refilio Plus is an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks unlimited trip history, unlimited vehicles, unlimited Fidel AI chat, and unlimited automatic trip recording.

Pricing: Monthly (₱99/month) or Annual (₱890/year). Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region and over time.
Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
Managing & cancelling: You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Plus access until then.
Free trial (if offered): Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Refunds: Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. Refund requests are subject to their respective policies; we do not process payments or issue refunds directly.

4. Fidel AI Assistant

Fidel generates responses using artificial intelligence. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Fidel is provided for convenience only and is not professional, financial, legal, or navigational advice. Always use your own judgment and verify important information. Do not send Fidel sensitive personal information. We may apply usage limits to the assistant.

5. Estimates Are Not Guarantees

Fuel costs, toll fees, distances, routes, and fuel prices shown in Refilio are estimates based on the data you provide and third-party sources. They may differ from actual amounts. Refilio does not guarantee the accuracy of any estimate, route, or price, and is not responsible for decisions you make based on them. Always drive safely and follow traffic laws — do not interact with the app while driving.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app
Interfere with, disrupt, or overload our servers or infrastructure
Attempt to bypass subscription controls, usage limits, or security measures
Use the app or Fidel to generate unlawful, harmful, or abusive content

7. Intellectual Property

Refilio, its logo, design, and content are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. Data you create (such as your trips and vehicles) remains yours.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.

9. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates will be accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Refilio and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be handled by the courts of the Philippines, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer-protection law.
